Myoga is a spice vegetable native to Japan that adds a unique aroma and texture to dishes.
What is generally eaten as myoga is the bud before it blooms, and is also called "hanamyoga" or "myoganoko," both of which are summer seasonal words.
Its English name is Myoga, the same as its Japanese name, but it is also called Japanese Ginger, and it is said to only be cultivated for food in Japan.
The sharp taste of myoga is expressed in the Tatewaku pattern.
