The spiral pattern is inspired by a snake, in reference to the zodiac sign for 2025, Ox Snake.
Kinoto is the second of the ten heavenly stems and contains the element of "wood," signifying the graceful growth and horizontal spreading of plants.
The snake is said to be a messenger of the gods, and because it grows by repeatedly shedding its skin and has the strong vitality to withstand long periods of starvation, it is considered a symbol of "death and rebirth" and "immortality."
The year of Kinotomi is expected to be a year of "flexible development through repeated regeneration and change."
The double spiral of the serpent is said to represent supernatural powers.
